What is the vacuum pump safety matters are essential for you?
1. Pay attention to personal safety
In order to install the vacuum pump on site, a general measure should be taken to ensure the health and personal safety of the vacuum pump in the working environment. Wherever the machine is running, wear proper clothing. When repairing electric pumps, you must also wear insulating gloves and protective caps. If you work or account for a percentage of pump station and sewage treatment, please be sure to wrap the wound with waterproof tape, and then wrap it, otherwise will directly contact with sewage, through the wound or eyes, mouth membrane infection, may be infected with serious virus, if injured at the scene, should immediately use waterproof, disinfection and cotton bandage. Please note the following points:
1. During the operation process, the experimental operators shall not carry the electronic products.
2. Experimental operators shall wear special operating gloves for vacuum equipment and shall not directly contact the vacuum equipment.
3. Vacuum pump equipment accessories should be stored in the drying box, far away from corrosive chemical gases or liquids.
4. The vacuum pump equipment should be cleaned regularly, and dust-free paper or dust-free cloth should be selected with alcohol or acetone.
5, the laboratory should adhere to the dry degree, the experimental operator should check the humidity and temperature of the laboratory every day.
6, the laboratory should maintain good ventilation, to avoid the impact of mechanical vacuum pump oil and gas.
7. The operator should pay attention to the temperature of the pump used by the vacuum equipment to avoid shortening the service life of the instrument due to overheating.
8. Operators should put nitrogen or liquid nitrogen into the molecular pump after the speed of the molecular pump is lower than the safety line.
9. Operators should pay close attention to the loss of the power interface of the high voltage pump to prevent the operator from electric shock and ensure safety.
10. When the test personnel operate, the valve should be switched and off in strict accordance with the operation steps of the vacuum equipment to prevent the backpumping caused by the pressure difference.
11. Do not carry out the experiment when the alarm rings, and immediately notify the laboratory and maintenance personnel to check.
12, in case of extraordinary circumstances, should immediately notify all those present to leave quickly, and cut off the vacuum equipment power supply.
2. Pay attention to ventilation
Pump experts know that the pump needs ventilation to prevent the fuselage from overheating. Therefore, the pump must be installed to ensure adequate ventilation and prevent fire risk. This means that all pump types except submersible pumps must be installed at least three feet away from the wall and other equipment. In addition, the exhaust gas emitted by the pump contains carbon monoxide and is a toxic and tasteless gas with incomplete chemical reactions. Usually the fuel used in the engine releases carbon monoxide, so the fuel pump has potential safety hazards in a completely enclosed space. Therefore, it is important to ensure that all fuel pumps are fully ventilated in the expansion space.
3. Pay attention to overheating
Check the suction filter regularly to ensure it is not blocked to eliminate pump safety problems and extend the service life of the pump. Make sure the pump has enough air flow to cool the engine, but some vacuum pumps often overheat from time to time without any immediate cause. In this case, the pump operator must do one thing, immediately stop, and let the pump cool. Direct contact with the overheated pump can cause severe burns, so you have to stay away from the overheated pump until you cool to room temperature. The cooling time depends on the size and temperature of the pump, sometimes up to 2-3 hours. The discharge plug can only be opened when the operator, confirms that the pump is fully cooled. It is not possible to remove the cover, plug, packing cap, or drain plug under any circumstances when the pump is too hot. These actions can endanger not only the operator himself, but also the others around him.
4. Vacuum pump type
Different types of pumps have different safety risks. Therefore, you must be clear about the specific situation of the pump you operate, operation precautions, etc., especially for new employees, if there is any uncertainty, you should first consult and enter a step to confirm the type of pump.
5. Vacuum pump motor
Motor-driven pumps must be properly grounded to reduce the risk of employee electric shock. If improperly installed, the pump may short circuit and it is the responsibility of the vacuum pump station staff to ensure that all electrical installations comply with national and local electrical regulations.
The vacuum pump needs to be installed correctly. Different areas have different requirements for line grounding. It is equally important to hire qualified employees to operate the electric pump. Before repairing the electric pump, you must ensure that the relevant circuit is cut off. Similarly, if the line trips during motor operation, a professional electrician must check to solve, and then restart the vacuum pump。
